Well everything really does feel odd right now...As I write this I'm back in the UK and now desperately trying to remember the last couple of days so I can finish this attempt at blogging and get on with the rest of my life..:0) Yeh, it's not for me all this writing in retrospect but maybe I'll appreciate it in years to come and hope my family/friends have enjoyed bits of it. Will try and get more pics on here too- a bit too much text, I think.
Friday
Aaaaaaanyway, just about managed to get the whole house packed up Thursday evening and ended up with loads of stuff to give to the neighbours which was nice. I left a sign outside saying something along the lines of 'help yourself, be nice and share' and it was fab to see my things go to good homes. There was lots of good humour and photo opportunities. My favourite is Joseph with my shinpads, I think he liked them :0)
Enias from VSO turned up around 10am and I was grateful that all my funiture would be taken to Kigeme for the next vol so the whole van could be used for my luggage. We arrived in Kigali about 3pm, I off-loaded some baskets and other things at Kerry's for her and Fred and then headed to the office for my exit interview with Charlotte.
Reference done, admin completed we had a lovely last evening at Papyrus before going on to Sundowners for drinks. I was absolutely shattered so the eveing finished around 1am with no last trip to KBC...
