Running last week I noticed how empty the streets and parks seemed. At first it seemed a good thing, no-one telling me to 'keep going love' as I attempt to get back to form (whatever that is). I suppose it's not surprising, it's the summer holidays afterall and children are probably on holiday with their families, sadly I think many remain indoors with at best the PS2 at worst the fear that something untoward might happen on the mean streets of Thornton Heath (it's had a bad press recently).

I wake up this morning with my usual sense of excitment-that it's still the summer holidays and decide to got to the Tate Modern. I love this part of London, strolling down the South Bank, coffee in hand, it's nice to be out and about but don't really appreciate it. Which brings me on to the art... While not a complete philistine, I'm quite impatient when it comes to galleries. I stop if I like it, move on if I don't and definitely have to be in the mood...This statement from a piece by Jenny Holzer got me thinking though...
