So what of the placements? Well, I've rejected Nigeria and Pakistan because they don't begin until Febrary/March and to be honest though I'm looking for a contrast, recent events in Pakistan seem just a little unpredictable. The placement seemed really interesting though, an orphanage in Lahore.

With regards the Rwanda placement, I've already contacted the 3 people who are returned volunteers (RVs) and hope to get their thoughts soon. My main concerns at the moment are isolation and internet access. I mean obviously, I realise that part of the reason I'm doing this is for the experience but I also know what I can cope with so at this stage I'm just making sure I've got all the infomation so I make an informed choice...Ha ha, I'm sure when I finally get there I'll be laughing at all these plans, for indeed what will be will be and we know what happens to best laid plans anyway...
