Well I think I might have a new house mate! It’s all a bit strange but after 9 months on my own it might be a nice change. Maria works for DED a German development agency. She’s based here on a project with the local sports centre together with a bloke who is also working for DED. Anyway, she was living with this other vol but something’s happened (which she didn’t want to go into) and she is desperate to get out. Obviously, am wondering what the back-story but she seems genuine enough and was really upset about everything so for now I’ve just said she can move in Oct. All the vols for DED seem really young 18/19 really don’t think I would have been brave enough to come out on my own at that age…

Safari

Very pleased. Kerry and Moira have managed to get me onto their college trip to Akagera National Park. It’s a trip for all the teacher trainers there so we’re paying just 10,000rwf for a whole day’s safari…
It’ll be an early start Saturday so off to Gitarama tomorrow for a film night with some of the many vols there.
